Wouldn't it be wonderful to legalize marijuana ? Wouldn't it be wonderful if there was a way to let some people voluntarily pay tax on hemp while letting the rest of us decline? THERE IS A WAY!
Tax SALES of hemp in all it's forms... we could have 10,000 acres growing in California's Central Valley providing paper, cloth, rope, dope, medicine, fuel, food...
Why NOT? We would reduce spending on LAWN FORCEMENT while increasing revenues... That's SMART fiscal Policy.
If you don't BUY reefer, you don't PAY the reefer tax. I don't smoke grass so I wouldn't pay a penny... Let others pay...

An adult would VOLUNTARILY select to pay taxes by buying USDA PURE marijuana at the liquor store or you may simply not pay any taxes at all because you don't smoke... The public would benefit by a regulated industry…Instead of having the Mexican Mafia growing dope in remote California Parks (and sometimes causing accidental forest fires like the Santa Barbara fire 2009) we could have OSHA protecting the environment and workers…and the USDA would regulate the quality…no more sales of opium laced grass to school children… ADULTS ONLY !
When I was a High school student it was easier to buy marijuana than it was to buy liquor…That's because I bought grass from other school children and had to go find an adult willing to buy booze for kids in order to drink… actually a difficult task…in comparison to shopping from my friendly neighborhood dope peddler…
It is possible that legalizing grass for adults might reduce use by children…we don't know what will happen until we try...
A perfect example of a voluntary tax is the Lottery run by the State of California. Volunteers purchase tickets and part of the money goes to finance schools and the rest is returned as prizes... There was a time long ago when organized crime ran "numbers" games... and the MOB kept the profits. Police spent manpower enforcing the laws against illegal gambling... Now, zero is spent on enforcing the laws... because the mob got out of that business... how could it compete with the state? If we legalized and taxed marijuana... criminals would be put out of business.
Voters for Sane Fiscal Policy recommend:
Tax Hemp! Increase revenues, decrease spending on Law Enforcement. Remember, every dollar spent on keeping hemp farmers in prison is coming out of your wallet... What a waste of taxpayers money. This is a clear example of Reefer Madness...
Got Budget Crisis? TAX HEMP!
We could reduce spending on law enforcement and prisons while increasing voluntary taxation. I would pay zero because I don't smoke marijuana and I don't care if you do. Why let criminals keep all the profit?
Dear Arnold Schwarzenegger: Thanks for decriminalizing possession of less than a ounce of grass...
USING COOKED SPAGHETTI AS A HAMMER:
When you do something and it does not work... Maybe it's time to do something different. I tried using cooked spaghetti to drive a nail into a board and it didn't work. Should I try cooked spaghetti again? and again? and again? and AGAIN?
"The war on drugs has failed. And it's high time to replace an ineffective strategy with more humane and efficient drug policies." Wall Street Journal. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB123535114271444981.html
I read in the newspaper that "Americans for Safe Access" is suing the US Government for lying. The lawsuit contends that classification of Marijuana as a schedule 1 drug is intentionally false. Schedule 1 drugs have "no medicinal value" and all scientific research says that Medicinal Marijuana has therapeutic value. That's why The California voters passed Prop 215.
The AMA is also accusing the government of lying…
The Federal Government classified Marijuana as a "Schedule One" drug: with NO medical use... Clearly FALSE...
YES, THE American Medical Association has asked the feds to correct this error... or was it an error? Maybe the government is intentionally lying...
THE largest association of Doctors in the world might have a better understanding of medicine than the US Congress...

Legalize Marijuana WORLDWIDE...
"There is a tide in the affairs of men.
Which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune;
Omitted, all the voyage of their life
Is bound in shallows and in miseries.
On such a full sea are we now afloat,
And we must take the current when it serves,
Or lose our ventures." -W. Shakespeare
We are going to Legalize Marijuana in California first, then Nationwide and finally Global Freedom.
And now for something completely different…
